XLink was born to unify the Bitcoin space and connect it with the wider blockchain world. The project is set to link Bitcoin DeFi to liquidity on Ethereum and other ecosystems, providing access to various chains including BRC20,  while also being a key piece of the infrastructure needed to have a "native-like” Bitcoin DeFi experience on L1 for BTC holders.

Managed by a dedicated DAO and providing users with immediate opportunities, the project strives to bring innovations and exciting developments to the community, connecting not only different parts of the Bitcoin ecosystem among themselves but also the overall space to the wider blockchain world.

To use an analogy, one could imagine the Bitcoin Defi Ecosystem as a country comprising many towns, with the Bitcoin L1 being a city, Stacks being another city, etc. Outside, other Defi ecosystems such as Ethereum or Solana are other countries.

XLink’s mission is to build roads to link the different cities within the Bitcoin country and develop highways to connect the Bitcoin country to the other parts of the crypto world.

XLink will also maintain a strong relationship with our mother platform, with whom we share the goal of building up the Bitcoin ecosystem. In fact, using Xlink will be by far the best way for BTC holders to access gems in the Stacks ecosystem, with low gas fees and access to better liquidity.
